Day1: Transfer to Kidepo valley national park

After your morning breakfast, meet and greet your with your driver guide and set off the journey to Kidepo valley national park. One of the things you should know is that this park is far away from Kampala therefore you will have to wake up so early in the morning prepare for the long journey and overcome the traffic jam. Enjoy lunch enrouteand proceed with the journey, you will delight in several short stopovers to enable you stretch, purchase some refreshments and some snacks that give you accompany as you view beautiful sceneries along the way. Upon arrival check in at the lodge, have dinner and an overnight stay.

Day2: Morning game drive and cultural experience

After your morning breakfast, move out for a morning game drive to navigate the park as you look for the fabulous wildlife. The game drive gives chance to enjoy the great sightings of the intriguing landscapes, marvelous wildlife that tend to be exceedingly active at this time. You spot animals like zebras, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, occasional cheetahs and so many colorful birds. This park is also another dazzling site for birding adventure having unique species like the Somali ostrich. Other bird species include; Abyssinian scimitar bill, greater kestrel, Jackson’s hornbill, chestnut weaver and many more.

Day3: Hiking Morungole Mountain and community visit to the IK people

Wake up early in the morning for breakfast and drive to the park headquarters for briefing about the hiking activity. Later on go to the starting point and start the hike to mountain Morungole. This mountain is raised on an elevation of 2,750 meters above sea level, it is situated in the southern section of the park. Climbing this mountain is really exhausting though it gives a lifetime lively memory. Ascending and descending from this mountain takes you about 8 hours depending on your level of physical fitness. On reaching the summit of the mountain, get an opportunity to meet and interact with the IK tribe of people who are living as a small community here. Delight in observing their culture, daily activities like cattle keeping and also entertainment through their traditional dances and songs. After, your driver guide takes you back to the park so when you reach, fill free to dine and an overnight stay.

Day4: Departure back to Kampala

This is the last day of your precious trip, in this you need to wake up very early in the morning for breakfast, check out of the lodge and set off for Kampala. Enjoy your lunch en-route as your driver takes you to Kampala and on reaching late in the evening, your driver drops you at your booked hotel of residence in Kampala.
