Lake Mburo national park

Sport fishing can be done in lake Mburo national park at  though you are required to purchase a permit from the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA). You don’t need to worry about experience, the activity starts with breifying and expect some training or help from a ranger guide in the park who takes you through the activity. If you are going to do sport fishing, you are advised to be with your personal fishing equipment.

Murchison falls national park

Interestingly, Murchison falls national park is the oldest and largest national park in Uganda and endowed with various wildlife. The best time to enjoy fishing in Murchison falls is during the dry season and that’s in the months of June to October and December to March. In the park, sport fishing is best done in Murchison falls national park on the banks of river Nile that passes through this park.

Ssese island

This area is situated about 51 kilometers from Entebbe and it is comprised of more than 80 fascinating islands featuring beautiful white beach sands and fresh water that favor sport fishing through out the year to tourists.

Lake Victoria

This is Africa’s biggest water body shared by Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda in which Uganda takes a bigger part compared to other countries. Sport fishing can also be done in Jinja which is a two hours’ drive from the Kampala capital city.
